The Law of Attraction
I want to talk to you about “The Secret.” I want to share some of my thoughts with you. If you have not read it, this book is about the law of attraction and how like attracts like. You not only become what you think about but your thoughts create your life. I must tell you this is true whether you attribute it to God, faith or the power of the universe.
I have seen this in the 77 years of my life over and over. The key is to focus on what you want, not what you don't want. I have focused my thoughts on success and it happened to the tune of earning more than $200,000 in 1990. Not only did I dream about success but I created a mind set of already considering myself to be successful. This is the essence of The Secret discussed in this book and the movie. As long as you have a zest for life and a real desire to help others you're never too old to start on a new adventure. The Internet offers anyone the amazing opportunity to make a nice income in your free time.
If you want to succeed in your business then focus on success instead of not failing. The problem is most focus on not failing. There is a difference. They think about how they are not making sales and how their business is not going anywhere. They expect failure and what do you think they are doing to get. Start focusing on what you want, not what you don't. Visualize commission checks coming in and expect to succeed.
You are doing a lot of marketing with the coop, article marketing and so on - I urge you to visualize these things working up for you a mountain of sales and expect it to happen and then have unwavering faith. I know many of you are trying to get your business off the ground and are dreaming of owning a successful business earning more than six figures and many of you are already doing that and are seeking to grow your business to a new level.
Several years ago I was just getting started and I read a business book called "If You Don't Have Big Breasts Put Ribbons On Your Pig tails." It is a book written by a billionaire business person and she says in there that when she was just starting out she spend a lot of money to buy a fancy new coat. This coat was way out of her price range but it made in feel successful and this caused her to create a mindset of success that focused on living up to the image of herself as a successful business person.
In order to create your own success I challenge you to consider yourself already successful. Do something that makes you feel successful in your business and use that to motivate you and empower your thoughts. If you can learn to do this your success will be just around the corner.
During the movie and book The Secret they talk about how many people try using The Secret and then when it does not work for them they give up and say "This doesn't work." That is similar to a story in the book Think and Grow Rich where the author talks about a man who purchased an old goldmine. He spent several years mining and not finding anything. Finally he gave up and sold the mine to someone for very little money. The new owner had an engineer study the mine and then started drilling and within a few feet struck gold.
Can you imagine ... the prior owner gave up within only a few feet from his dream?
I have seen this in my own life. There have been so many times I came close to giving up only shortly before I realized a great success. I challenge you to keep going after your dream and believe that it is within your reach. This applies to financial success, business, relationships, love and health.
Most people, average people try this business for about a month and when they don't make it they quit and have all kinds of excuses. Those who stick it out and market their business day in day out determined to succeed are the ones that make it. I have seen this to be true time and time again.
